About Me
I’ve always had a knack for understanding and then explaining things. My 3rd grade teacher called it “talking too much”. She was probably right.
What I realized after providing training on almost every job I’ve held, as long as I can understand the software, the system or the desired outcome, I can explain it in a way at least a few people get.
Personally I like to break things down into tiny pieces and recombine, reconfigure and rearrange them.
I enjoy problem solving, Soduko and riddles. I also see crazy characters in curtains and enjoy connecting the dots.
I’m currently helping people people understand and use the right technology for their online projects, while answering or pointing them in the direction of the answers to their questions. I’m also doing some of the work because it’s good to keep your hands a little dirty.
Other people tell me I’m a teacher, but honestly, helping people make their own connections by sharing my knowledge, providing information and offering supportive, hands on help while doing it with them and sometimes for them, helps me learn better.
The first computer I used was an Apple IIe, in 1986, but it wasn’t until I owned my first computer, a Compaq, 10 years later, that I became truly hooked. And yes, I still go both ways.
Now I’m refining, learning, sharing and combining what I enjoy most – technology and talking, with something I know very little about – self employment and small business ownership.
I know what I want the end result to look like and I’m taking the Ity Bytes.
